Introducción


The global situation over the last year and a half has been critical; The pandemic has harmed first world countries and underdeveloped countries alike, but the way in which they have been able to recover from this situation is what really makes a difference. While in countries like the United States, people even attend stadiums or Australia, where the use of face masks was never mandatory, in underdeveloped countries like Colombia, the health situation is critical, but not as critical as their social situation. For exactly one month there have been protests by a large number of people throughout the country, who claim to be tired of the abuses of the state, corruption, problems in the health system, lack of employment, and hunger, while the state's response to the people's requests has been repression, in most cases in a violent and disproportionate way, so international organizations have their eyes on the country and especially on the president of the republic, who has been in charge of deploying the armed wing of the state, that is why the International Human Rights Foundation, through an official statement, has requested his arrest to render accounts before the supreme justice courts for his responsibility regarding the violation of human rights in the country.

Participants: 11th-grade students from an Escuela Normal Superior
Moderator: Teacher.
a) Read the press release presented by the International Foundation for Human Rights
b) Make groups of 15 people
c) Each team will be assigned a position for or against the political and social situation of the country and must defend it through solid and elaborate arguments.
d) Each student must have at least 2 interventions of a minimum of one minute.
e) At the end of the debate, each team will construct a 2 minutes conclusion regarding the political and social situation in the country after having listened to the opinions and arguments of their colleagues.
